Interactive Computer Services has everyday low prices that are updated as frequently as daily. Therefore, customers can get the most current market prices for most items. This is especially useful for CPU and memory for which prices fluctuate daily. Interactive Computer Services does not offer any price guarantee or protection. Interactive Computer Services is not responsible for any typo on the web site and reserves the right to change the prices of any item at any time.
If you see any price that should be more competitive or not the same as advertised elsewhere by Interactive Computer Services, please contact us so that we may consider updating it! We sometimes depend on customers and visitors to ensure that all the items we carry are competitive.
The minimum order is $3 per order. Orders below $3 will be declined with an error message and cannot proceed through the Order Page.
Interactive Computer Services does not charge sales tax EXCEPT for Texas shipping addresses, who, however, may enjoy a lower shipping cost because of shorter distance. The current tax rate is 8.25%. Both labor charges and shipping (freight, delivery, or postage) are also taxed according to State of Texas rules.
Texas resellers and tax-exempted identities who wish not to be charged with Texas sales tax can make tax exemption claims either by placing the Tax-Free item in the Discount & Options section or by leaving the permit number in the comment section of the Order Page. You must fax a copy of resale certificate or tax exemption form to us to qualify.
Repeated, large-volume buyers are encouraged to contact us to get volume price breaks or open an account. This applies to academic, corporate, government, and reseller buyers.
Money and Payment Policy
Interactive Computer Services does not charge surcharges!
Interactive Computer Services accepts only US currency. Five types of payment methods are available: Credit Cards Online, Credit Cards via Phone, Prepay with Check. We do not accept COD payment of any kind at this time. Purchase Orders (PO) are allowed only from government agencies, schools, and Fortune 1000 companies that are authorized and verified. Interactive Computer Services does not issue net-terms to resellers.
CREDIT CARD Online: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, and American Express. We do NOT charge "surcharges" for credit card transactions. Please read the Privacy & Security Statement for more details on secure credit card usage on the net.
Credit card payment is now authorized online in real time. You will be informed immediately if your credit card is declined. If declined, you may check the accuracy of the credit card number and expiration date, or choose a different card to try. Your order will NOT be sent unless the credit card number you entered is authorized. Once accepted, the authorization process allocates the total amount of the order + 10% extra for this transaction, which does NOT mean that your credit card has been charged yet. The 10% extra is reserved just in case you need to add items or make other adjustments to your order. We'll examine each order and make adjustments if necessary before charging your credit card. The actual amount charged can be smaller than the total amount. Currently, less than 2% of all orders are adjusted before charging.
You must provide us with a working phone number in order for us to contact you to confirm your order and in case of problems with your order.
Interactive Computer Services is very aggressive in getting law enforcement involved in cases of obvious credit card fraud. Do not try it here or ANYWHERE for that matter!
CREDIT CARD via Phone: If you do not feel comfortable transmitting your credit card number and other information on the Internet, we suggest you place an order online, choose "Credit Card via Phone" as the payment method, and then phone in to give us your credit card number over the phone. We'll charge your credit card manually.
PRE-PAY with a Check: Pre-payment with cashier's check or money order is accepted. You can place the order online, select "Prepay w/ cashier's check" as payment method, get an order number and order confirmation for the total amount of your order. Then get a cashier's check or money order from your bank for the exact amount and mail the check with a copy of the order sheet to us. We'll ship your products within 1-2 business days after the check is received. Your order will be canceled if we do not receive your payment in 10 business days. Orders via Prepay w/ cashier's check are not confirmed until payment is received. Company Checks are conditionally accepted. Customers must contact our accounting / credit department to check if they are qualified for this payment method. Although company checks are conditionally accepted, items will not be shipped until checks are cleared by the bank. We do not accept personal checks. The products shipped remain the property of Interactive Computer Services until paid in full. Any legal expense toward collecting bad debts are buyer's responsibility.
Return for Credit Policy
TIME LIMITS: We guarantee 30-day money back for most items, except CPU and memory, are 7-day money back. The exception for the CPU and memory is necessary due to the frequent price fluctuation with these products. No returns for credit after the time limit has expired. These time limits do not offset in any way the warranty of the products. See Warranty Policy for more details.
OTHER LIMITS: Shipping costs are NOT refundable. Labor charges included in systems ($39 per system) and services are NOT refundable. Any physically damaged or defaced items are not refundable. Opened software is not refundable. Cases that have been opened and assembled by customers will not be refundable. Items with missing original manufacturer packaging materials, manual, driver discs, cables and/or other supporting materials will not be accepted for credit. Only unopened software packages are accepted for return for credit. Restocking fees may be applicable to certain items.
PROCEDURE FOR RETURNING FOR CREDIT: When returning items for credit, make an online return authorization first. After receiving your Return Authorization number (the same as the new order number), send the item(s) to Interactive Computer Services together with a copy of the original invoice, a copy of the Return Authorization confirmation, and ALL the original packaging materials including cables, manuals, and CDs if applicable. You must have a matching serial number between the item(s) and the invoice. Partial returns from a total order are acceptable. Write down "Return for Credit" on the cover of the package. Please, pack your return items well, we cannot be responsible for any damages from you to us en route. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost of returning items to us for any reason. You may send an e-mail to information@interactivecomputerservices.com to alert the returns department and to check the status of your credit. You may choose store credit or refund for the credit. Please note, regulations allow only credit to your credit card account if you paid with a credit card.
Credit and refunding are handled by our Credit Department, which may take 1-14 business days to confirm and complete after the goods are received.

Repeat customers are our best customers. Interactive Computer Services offers a preferred customer status for customers who have purchased more than 10 times for a combined total of $50,000 or more.
Warranty Policy for Interactive Computer Services Purchases Shipping Costs Customer assumes all costs in shipping to us, and we assume the cost in shipping back to the customer. All replacement/repaired products are shipped UPS Ground unless a rush is requested. The cost of such a shipping upgrade is to be paid by the customer prior to shipment.
Warranty Procedure We suggest you contact our tech support team first by posting a question in our Help Desk to determine whether the item is indeed defective before shipping. See Return Policy for more details. No phone call or e-mail is necessary!
30-Day Warranty All OEM CPU's unless specifically stated otherwise, carry an implied, industry-standard 30-Day warranty against defects due to manufacturing or failure. Warranty does not include overclocking, use of CPU without cooling fan, improper voltage, or any use of the CPU that does not fall into the designed use of the CPU as intended by the manufacturer.
One-Year Warranty All parts (except OEM CPUs, and refurbished items) come with a warranty against manufacturer defect or failure for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers replacement or repair of the product, which is determined by availability, our vendor, and the time of purchase. Replacement is often used within 30 days after purchase with the same product or like product when direct replacement is unavailable. Repair is often necessary for items purchased more than 30 days ago. A longer waiting period is expected for repair and the customers are encouraged to contact the original manufacturers directly to shorten the waiting period.
Manufacturer Warranty Manufacturers sometimes offer additional warranty for the following products: hard drives, retail boxed CPUs, and monitors. Customers should contact the manufacturer after warranty with Interactive Computer Services expires. Customers may also pay Interactive Computer Services a service fee ($25 per item) plus shipping to have such warranty work completed through Interactive Computer Services.
Lifetime Warranty Lifetime warranty is given to all Kingston or Viking memory and cables. This warranty is for replacement of like items only. Lifetime warranty does not cover items out of production if Interactive Computer Services no longer stocks them. This warranty is valid only for the original buyer but not transferable. (Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the product on the market. Outdated technology is not covered by lifetime warranty if the item is no longer available on the common market as a new product.)
Software Warranty Software is not returnable or exchangeable once opened, or if the serial number or registration number has been removed. Opened software includes, but is not limited to, removing the shrink wrap from the software or opening the seal on the envelope.
Any software that has a visible installation code / COA number may not be returned except for media exchange in the case of broken media. Microsoft software products may only be returned for media exchange. No returns or refunds on License products.
Media Exchange is defined as replacement of broken media with working media for a given product due to shipping damage or defective media.
On-Site Warranty and Extended Warranty Options Interactive Computer Services offers extended and onsite warranty on products that we sale.
All Other Warranty Coverage
Certain parts may come with extended Manufacturer's Warranty. The equipment manufacturer honors this warranty and Interactive Computer Services assumes no responsibility in honoring this warranty. Interactive Computer Services will attempt to RMA a product to the manufacturer in special cases when requested by the customer. Customer assumes all shipping costs to manufacturers.
Warranty Forfeiture Warranty is not granted if a product is received without original invoice. Warranty is void if serial tags, receiving numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer seals have been removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty is void if mishandling, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void manufacturer's warranty has occurred. Products damaged due to improper or inadequate packaging when returned for RMA purposes are not granted warranty coverage.
Notes: (1) Interactive Computer Services is not responsible for any damage to other parts or personal or property injury as a result of using any of our products or as a result of defective products. For instance, we are not responsible for damages to a motherboard if or when a power supply is defective. You may contact the manufacturer for any recourse. (2) By placing an order with Interactive Computer Services, you indicate that you have read this policy and agree with it. (3) Interactive Computer Services is a distributor. There is no way for us to test all products before shipping. To avoid dead-on-arrival (DOA), you may consider having us test the product(s) before shipping. Legal Statements By placing an order with Interactive Computer Services, you, the Customer, indicate that you have read and agreed to the following agreement in addition to the company policies outlined in our policy pages:
LIMITED LIABILITIES: Seller (Interactive Computer Services or its parent company) here expressly disclaims liability and shall not be responsible in relation to our products or services for incidental, consequential, and contingent damages of any kind or nature, including without limitation: damages to persons or property, whether a claim for such damages is based upon warranty, contract, tort or otherwise; damages due to or arising out of the loss of data; or lost profits.
Interactive Computer Services's maximum liability allowed is limited to the purchase price of the products sold. Interactive Computer Services shall not, under any circumstances, be liable upon a claim relating to the products it sells which exceeds this liability limit.
GOVERNING LAWS AND JURISDICTION: Any dispute arising out of, or related to the sales transaction between Interactive Computer Services and the Customer shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflicts of law rules. Interactive Computer Services and Customer consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and the venue of the State Courts of the State of Texas, Harris County, to resolve any dispute between them, and the parities waive all rights to contest this exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such Courts. The Customer also agrees not to bring any legal action, based upon any legal theory including contract, tort, equity or otherwise, against Interactive Computer Services that is more than one year after the date of the applicable invoice.
POLICY AGAINST COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS: Interactive Computer Services does not intentionally, willingly, or knowingly buy, sell, distribute or manufacturer any counterfeit products, hardware or software, that are in violation of US copyright or trademark laws. We require all of our venders and manufacturers to make the same pledge.
OEM AND RETAIL PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS: Some manufacturers place limitations on certain versions of OEM or retail products to certain markets. We post such limitations to the best of our knowledge on our web site. Interactive Computer Services believes that it's up to the buyer to make a decision on whether they meet such manufacturer requirements. It's almost impossible for us to screen all customers for this purpose. By placing an order with Interactive Computer Services, the buyer agrees that the buyer has qualified for such products and Interactive Computer Services is not responsible for any subsequent problems, if any.
TRADEMARKS: Interactive Computer Services is a registered US trademark. Usage of our trademark for commercial purposes without our consent is prohibited by US trademark laws. All other trademarks referenced on our website and other marketing materials belong to their respective trademark holders.
LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEB SITES: The Interactive Computer Services web site contains links to other sites such as manufacturer websites and review sites that are operated by third-parties. Such links are made for our customers/visitors' convenience and are intended only to enable easy access to these sites and for no other purpose. Interactive Computer Services does not warrant or make any representation about the quality, substance, contents, functionality, accuracy, appropriateness for a particular purpose or any other representation about any such sites. A link from Interactive Computer Services to such a site by itself does not constitute Interactive Computer Services's endorsement, sponsorship, approval or responsibility for any such site. Interactive Computer Services makes no representation or warranty as to any products or services offered on such site.
Replacement and Substitution Policy
Should an item be out of stock, we reserve the right to replace it with an equal or better product. Typical examples include replacing hard drives with larger ones of the same brand. We also reserve the right to substitute items with different brands of products of equal or better quality with the same or higher prices without additional cost to the customers.
Replacement situations do not happen very often (less than 5%). When it does, we will try to contact customers via e-mail or phone before shipping, although it may not always be possible. To avoid delays and for items that substitution issue often arises, customers may choose the Yes or No to the "Substitution OK" option, for items that substitution may occur. Alternatively, customers placing orders may leave a message in the comment section to indicate whether replacement/substitution is acceptable.
Substitution will be done with items that are of equal specification, quality, brand and price whenever possible. If there is a price difference, Interactive Computer Services will refund the difference.

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Policy
Please read Warranty Policy first before sending items back to us. If you believe that the product you received is defective and your warranty has not expired, you must first send an email to information@interactivecomputerservices.com to obtain a RMA number as if you are placing a new order. The RMA Order number will allow us to track your return much easier and faster. After receiving your RMA order number, pack the defective item(s) very well with all the original packaging and supporting materials such as cables, manuals, and drivers, a copy of the original invoice, and a copy of the RMA Return Request Confirmation. Customers are responsible for the shipping cost of shipping items back to us. If you think you can meet these requirements, no phone call or e-mail is necessary. USA Customer must package the products properly. Interactive Computer Services is NOT responsible for any damage to the products during transit by the shipping company. Damaged items are not eligible for warranty or money back guarantee. All electronic parts should be wrapped in anti-static plastic bags and shock-resistant bubble-wrap. There should be at least one inch of cushioning material such as peanuts between the item and the walls of the box.
We suggest that customers obtain a receipt for any packages shipped back to us. Interactive Computer Services is NOT responsible for any package lost during shipping.
The time it takes for us to send you the replacement products depends on several factors. (1) What kind of products. (2) What caused the defects? (3) How fast our vendor/manufacturer would send us the replacement. (4) Whether it's a repair or a replacement. (5) How long have you received the product?
For some categories of products, such as floppy drive, cables, accessories, a replacement of the same or equal item will normally be shipped to you within 1-7 business days after the defective item is received.
For items such as motherboards, video cards, and systems, the replacement/repaired unit will be shipped within 1-7 business days if you received the product within the last 30 days. For items that you have received for more than 30 days, the replacement/repair process may take up to one full month since we have often to wait for the vendors to complete the replacement/repairmen work. In such situations, we would strongly encourage customers to contact the original manufacturer of the product for a direct replacement.
Interactive Computer Services is responsible for the cost of shipping the replaced item back to customers via UPS Ground. Customer will be responsible for upgrades to UPS Next-day air, 2nd-day air, or 3-day select. Interactive Computer Services does not offer cross-shipping.
To speed up receiving the replacement parts, customers may order the same item (part only) to replace a defective one and send the defective one back for credit if the defective item was purchased within 30 days AND the item is NOT system, CPU, or memory. Again, the normal shipping method is UPS Ground. Customer must pay for any shipping upgrades. Please do not use this procedure on systems, processors, or memory modules.
Notes: (1) No e-mail or phone call is necessary to return an item! (2) Read and follow the instructions on the return pages carefully. (3) Interactive Computer Services is not responsible for any damage to parts or injury to person or property as a result of using our products or as a result of a defective product. For instance, we are not responsible when a motherboard may be damaged due to a defective power supply. Your best recourse in such situations is to contact the manufacturer. (4) By placing an order with Interactive Computer Services, you indicate that you already read this return policy and agree with it. (5) Interactive Computer Services is a distributor. We cannot test all products. Although products are under warranty, you should consider having your products tested before shipping to avoid dead-on-arrival (DOA). (6) If you return a product as defective we will test it. If we find that it is not defective then a Restocking fee may be added. No restocking fee will be added if the product is defective.
